Watches purchased from the new BENRUS #3061 collection begin shipping at the end of May 2025
Founded in New York City by three Romanian-American brothers in 1921, BENRUS has been making history for more than a century. The 3061 Collection pays tribute to the series of mil-spec field watches sold by Benrus on the civilian market as famously worn by Steve McQueen in 1968’s Bullitt.
Closely related to the military-issued BENRUS DTU-2A/P, the revived 3061 collection features an upsized 39.5mm steel case with a welcome 100m of water resistance while retaining that iconic dial layout immortalized on the silver screen. It is available in a period-correct black dial with a black leather strap — Frank Bullit spec — as well as a contemporary silver dial with an elegant beads-of-rice bracelet.
The 3016 Collection is powered by the venerable ETA 2892. A Swiss-made automatic movement, it features 21 jewels, hacking, hand winding, a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, and a power reserve of at least 42 hours.
